About
Random Read is a general-interest blog for curious people. We publish long-form, plainly written explainers on history, current affairs, nature, psychology, science and technology, and pop culture, one good read at a time.
What we write about
- History: what really happened, and the myths that grew around it.
- Current Affairs: the background you need to make sense of the headlines.
- Human Psychology: why we think, feel and behave the way we do.
- Nature & Wildlife: the living world, from forests to the deep sea.
- Science and Tech: discoveries, inventions and ideas explained without jargon.
- Pop Culture: games, film, music and the trends shaping how we live.
Why this site exists
Most of what we read online is built to be skimmed and forgotten. We would rather publish something you will actually finish: a clear explanation of how something works, what happened, or why people act the way they do. Every article opens with a short summary so you can decide quickly whether it is for you, and many end with further reading.
How we work
We aim to be accurate, balanced and easy to follow. When a topic is contested, we try to show the different sides rather than push one. You can read how we handle sources, corrections and advertising in our Editorial Policy.
Who runs Random Read
Random Read is an independent publication run from India by Team Random Read. We are not owned by, or affiliated with, any news organisation, political party or company.
